Back to Tips

Lack of time is the number 1 reason why everyday Aussie blokes don’t exercise. It’s hardly surprising as given they are working longer hours with less time for everything else. Who the hell has got a spare hour in the day to drag themselves to the gym? What if I told you that any bloke can get fit in 10 minutes a day? You’d say BS right?

After I retired from Rugby League, getting the best return from my workouts became even more important because I wasn’t being paid to train and eat right anymore – I had a normal job and even more limited time. So I developed my own workouts to get the best results in the smallest amount of time possible, with maximum carry-over into my daily life.

Contrary to what we’ve been told for decades, us blokes don’t need to be wasting hours in the gym doing cardio (aerobic) exercise if we want to get fit and lose weight. It has been proven that people who break their training up into shorter, sharper sessions get better fat-loss results and muscle stimulus as they are exposing their muscles to more frequent and higher intensity workouts. With The Man Challenge 10 minutes a day is all you need. No gyms or heavy weights required.

TIP - Try including these daily movements into your everyday life:

  • Take the stairs, not the lift
  • If you have an office job, stand up every half hour and stretch for 5 minutes
  • Exercise in the ad breaks when you’re watching TV – see how may push ups you can pump out before the footy’s back on
  • Make phone time movement time – walk around while you’re talking

Another consequence of lack of time is the impact it has your food choices. Take breakfast for example. If you don’t eat breakfast, your risk of obesity increases by 450% with studies showing that people who skip breakfast are on average 5cm bigger around the belly than those who eat breakfast. On The Man Challenge I will show you how to prepare a nutritious, simple and fast breakfast to properly fuel your body for the day.

Let’s face it, at the end of the day even legitimate excuses don’t get you the results you want. Ask yourself how much time you actually waste per day (tip: the average person spends roughly 2 hours a day watching TV). Now consider that a 10 minute workout is less than 1% of your day.

With The Man Challenge your body is your gym and you can work out anywhere – at home, in your office, outside – so there really are no more excuses. (Not even boredom – I promise you’ll be way too busy in those 10 minutes to be bored!)

The Man Challenge can give you the best return on your investment of time for your most important asset – your health. "No time" is no longer an excuse.
